Avo van wrap

To this day my favorite project I’ve ever gotten the chance to work on -the Avo Van Wrap- was truly a labor of love and is an encapsulation of the passion I feel for design and the creative process. Being the only designer at Avo during its development and production, not only was I the main point of contact for creativity for all members of Avo’s C-suite but also crucial in the production of the wrap and even took the photos below that have been featured on various online publications.

Various Avo signage and flyers

One of our core branding pieces and introduction to our brand to many consumers are our signage and flyers. These introductions ranged in various forms from our core pull-down sign that were left in multiple Avo buildings and used at every Avo event to more specialized projects like the gif used for our LinkNYC ads featured across Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Various Avo postcards and sticker sheet

Just like our signage our Avo postcards were another huge point of contact for people when first learning about Avo. Whether being handed out at events, mailed directly to potential customers' apartments, or launching new cities and services these cards expressed a range of subjects and visual styles while being kept in line with our branding. Please also note that the Avo bag featured on the 2nd postcard was also designed and photographed by me as well.

Avo investor deck

Quite possibly the biggest and the most labor-intensive project I’ve made so far for Avo has to be the Investor Deck you see below. The entire deck consisted of over 40 bespoke slides made over the course of a week nonstop by our Avo Design Team and myself under my direction. With these decks, Avo was able to secure millions in funding during the most current round of fundraising.

Avo emails and web banners

The backbone of all Avo design has to be the emails and web banners. At the height of the emails the Avo Design Team and I were making emails to send out daily for months, thanks to this constant turn around emails became a key place to try new ideas and truly workshop how to design in the Avo ethos before applying these successful designs to other projects. On top of all this with the help of analytics, we were able to develop a series of email templates that were easily customizable allowing our Design Team to be more flexible with their workflow while keeping branding consistent.

Avo geofencing and social ads

Working hand in hand with our Performance and Growth Marketing Team I was able to develop all of the collateral you see below to specifically target consumers we believed would benefit most from our services and would actively engage with our messaging. The greatest example of this hyper-targeted design and execution can be found with our geofencing program assets. With geofencing, we were able to target specific buildings in our portfolio with our messaging and then create ads that had the exact name of that building to engage with residents on a personal level.

AvoMeals digital and physical assets

AvoMeals started off as a pilot program in our Avo warehouse and rapidly grew into its own fleshed-out part of the Avo business. With this growth, I was tasked with designing a brand identity and logo that looked similar to our core Avo offering but unique in its own distinguishable way. This led to the various assets below being more focused on iconography and photography than our core Avo branding.

Various Avo boxes for commercial clients

Similar to AvoMeals our Avo Box program started as a side business to the core Avo delivery offering and quickly became a business of its own. A large part of this success can be attributed to the custom boxes our Avo Design Team and I created for a variety of companies. Due to the requests from each client, this made our Design Team act like a quasi-design agency, heavily researching the client and their branding direction and then using that info to recreate boxes in their own style. The results from this were incredibly positive and led to many five and six-figure deals being signed for just our boxes alone.

Avo emojis

With an already expressive logo one of my first-ever tasks at Avo was to create a form of emojis with our logo to express a range of feelings and emotions to humanize our mascot with the customer base. As this went on the Avo took on a life of its own incorporating various events and holidays into its style to be even more specific to our branding needs.
